Some moves can 'pass' functions to your opponent. An example of this is any cinematic super. How your opponent's properties change seems to be stored in the SEQ of player 1 such as flags and animations. When a move references an animation in common file, the result will be the same, however when you reference an animation that is in a Characters own mot file, (such as giving opponent your 5A, see example 2) it will use your opponents mot.

When reading another characters function, your action ID will be 1000 + the action ID of the move of your oppenent, for example, Choji's 5A makes his opponent do Choji's 1E3 Action ID function. Thus for Choji's opponent, their action ID will be 11E3

(pointing to Choji's 5B, but it uses Naruto's 5B animation. Hitboxes are the same for Choji's however)

(pointing to Choji's 5A, but it uses Naruto's 5A animation. Notice how the animation doesn't make any sense, however you can see the super armor triggering for Naruto)
